David Wicker is an experienced trial and appellate attorney who has worked as a sole practitioner in Nashville, Tennessee, since 2004. Prior to moving to Nashville, he practiced at DeHay and Elliston, LLC in Dallas, Texas, where he concentrated his practice in the area of premise liability defense.
Mr. Wicker received a B.A. in international studies from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas, and his J.D. from the Southern Methodist University School of Law, where he was a member of the Board of Advocates and the ATLA Mock Trial Team. During law school, Mr. Wicker interned at the Dallas County District Attorney's Office and worked in the W.W. Caruth, Jr. Child Advocacy Clinic.
Licensed to practice law in the courts of the State of Tennessee and in the Federal Courts for the Middle District of Tennessee, Mr. Wicker has represented hundreds of people charged with criminal offenses, including murder, drug offenses, driving under the influence, robbery, and other serious felony and misdemeanor charges. As his practice has grown, he has expanded his focus to include all aspects of criminal defense as well civil litigation. Mr. Wicker has represented clients in a wide array of civil disputes concerning everything from motor vehicle accidents to wrongful termination.
Mr. Wicker is a member of the Tennessee Association of Criminal Defense Attorneys and the American, Tennessee, and Nashville Bar Associations. He is also a second chair member of the Criminal Justice Act Panel for the United States District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee.
